Formbay and Intellihub collaborate to streamline smart meter upgrades
Integrated digital workflow designed to reduce administration, improve data quality and support faster export activation.
Formbay has partnered with Intellihub to deliver an integrated smart meter upgrade workflow that simplifies the process for solar retailers and improves the quality of information provided ahead of technician visits.
Traditionally, solar retailers have been required to use multiple systems to submit meter upgrade requests and provide supporting site information. This can create additional administrative work, duplicate data entry and increase the risk of incomplete information being supplied before a technician is dispatched.
Through the collaboration, Intellihub’s metering workflow has been embedded directly within the Formbay platform, enabling retailers to initiate a meter upgrade request at the same time as creating an installation job.
The integrated workflow allows retailers to:
- Submit meter upgrade requests directly through Formbay
- Capture required site information and photographs in one place
- Securely share information with Intellihub without re-entering data across multiple systems
- Provide technicians with more complete and accurate information before attending the site
By improving the flow of information between retailers, installers and Intellihub, the integration is expected to reduce avoidable delays, minimise repeat site visits and support a more efficient pathway to meter upgrades and solar export activation.
The collaboration forms part of Formbay’s broader focus on simplifying compliance, verification and operational workflows across the electrification journey.
Eligibility requirements
States: NSW, ACT, QLD, SA, TAS. You can submit claims for Intellihub smart meters, analog meters needing an upgrade and most energy retailers excluding Red Energy.
